The Broken Ink Landscape is a splashed-ink landscape painting on a hanging scroll and was made in 1495 during in the Muromachi period. The original ink wash painting is a National Treasure of Japan and is held by the Tokyo National Museum. A double mount from Nielsen Bainbridge's Artcare range was created to be in sympathy with the artist's use of of ink tones Then the frame was constructed from the Nilesen Bainbridge moulding range entitled Matrix, this has a glossy black finish reminiscent Japanese lacquer work. Finally the work was finished by using Clearcolour Plus UV glass so that the work can be enjoyed clear of virtually all reflections, and to protect it from the damaging effects of UV light.
